Mickey Arthur appointed as Pakistan cricket team’s head coach


Former South African cricketer Mickey Arthur has been appointed as Pakistan cricket team’s head coach.

  •  It was announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). 
  • With this appointment he fills the role vacated by Waqar Younis’ resignation in April 2016 following Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup.

Mickey Arthur:

  • John Michael "Mickey" Arthur is a South African cricketer who played South African domestic cricket from 1986 to 2001.
  •  He is the current coach of the Pakistan national cricket team. 
  • Born: May 17, 1968 (age 47), Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Past teams coached: Western Australia cricket team (2010–2011)
